US Watchdog Sees New Serious Side Effect Janssen Vaccine

The American health watchdog FDA sees a new, serious side effect with the corona vaccine of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).

According to the authorities, it is a rare side effect, the Guillain-Barré syndrome, reports The Washington Post newspaper.

These concerns are less than a hundred cases among the 12.8 million people who have received the Janssen shot in the United States.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a nerve disorder that can lead to sudden muscle paralysis. It is an unintended response of the immune system.

According to The Washington Post, the FDA will announce the new side effect this week. However, health officials plan to accentuate that the benefits of the Janssen vaccine continue to outweigh the potential risks.
