US Election Interim Standings: Biden Now Past Trump in Georgia

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has provisionally caught up with President Donald Trump in the crucial swing state of Georgia (16 electors).

Biden now has 49.4 percent of the votes counted there, less than 0.1 percent more than Trump.

In absolute numbers, Biden has a lead of 917 votes.

If Biden maintains his lead in the states of Arizona and Nevada, where votes are also counted, he will undoubtedly win the presidential election.

In that case, loss to Biden in Georgia is not fatal.
