Sports Car Brand Ferrari has had a Record Year
The Italian sports car brand Ferrari set record results in 2022. The company points to strong sales of the Portofino M, SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB models.
According to Ferrari, turnover increased by 19 percent to 5 billion euros. Net profit rose by 13 percent to 939 million euros. Worldwide shipments of new cars to customers increased by 19 percent to 13,221 cars. The Maranello brand saw sales increase in all regions, with solid growth in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan (plus 73 percent).
CEO Benedetto Vigna says the numbers provide a basis for an even better 2023, helped by continued high demand for Ferraris worldwide. “Despite a complex global macro scenario, we look forward with great confidence,” Vigna said in a statement. Ferrari expects further growth in turnover to approximately 5.7 billion euros this year.
Under Vigna’s leadership, the company is working more on electric and hybrid sports cars. For example, the first fully electric Ferrari should be on the market in 2025.
