Pope Surprises Homeless People Waiting for Corona Vaccine
Pope Francis paid a surprise visit to homeless people in Vatican City on Good Friday. They had come to Pope Paul VI Aula to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, local media reports.
The 84-year-old Pope chatted in that large hall with people waiting for their injection. He also greeted doctors and nurses.
A Vatican photo shows the Pope wearing a mouth mask and surrounded by men, women and children.
Pope Paul VI Aula has been used for months to vaccinate homeless people against the virus. Francis and his predecessor Benedictus (93) received the first dose of a corona vaccine in January.
At the time, the Vatican did not disclose the means of the clergy.
