Online EU Summit Started With Recently Tested Prime Minister Rutte

The European Union leaders have entered their eleventh online summit since the outbreak of the corona epidemic.

Prime Minister Mark Rutte and his colleagues wanted to meet again in Brussels, but that is not yet possible now that the virus is spreading again in many EU countries.

Rutte is even struggling with an outbreak in his cabinet, although he was tested negative.

The 27 begin with the traditional conversation with the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli.

They will then go straight to the vaccination of the European population, which is not running as smoothly as expected due to the slow deliveries of certain vaccines.
