Microsoft Releases New Surface Devices

Microsoft is renewing its Surface range. Five new devices, one refreshed device and a range of accessories will be available in Belgium this fall and early 2022 for consumers and/or business users.

Surface Pro 8
According to Microsoft, this 13-inch 2-in-1 is twice as fast as the Pro 7 and has an 11th generation Intel Core processor, two Thunderbolt 4 connections and a 16-hour battery. In addition, we find a 10 megapixel 4K camera with Doby Atmos sound and a 5-megapixel camera at the back. It is also possible to place and charge the Surface Slim Pen 2 in the device.

Surface Laptop Studio
This 14.4-inch laptop/tablet combination can be in three modes (station mode, stage mode and studio mode), also has room for the Surface Slim Pen 2. Under the hood, we find the 11th generation Intel Core H35 processor (i5 or i7 and 1742.9 grams or 1820.2 grams respectively), 16 or 32 GB of RAM. Graphically, we find here a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4 GB of graphics memory.

Surface Go 3
According to Microsoft, the lightest 2-in-1 Surface (544 grams) is sixty percent faster than its predecessor. The device has a 10.5-inch screen with an adjustable stand. An i3 chip (10th generation), a 1080p HD camera on the front and back, and optional LTE (4G). Under the hood is 4 or 8 gigabytes of RAM.

Surface Pro 7+
The Pro 7+ is not a new device but was only available for business users at the start of this year.

Surface Pro X
Also, with this 2-in-1 with arm chip, no major changes, but from now on, a WiFi-only option.

Surface Duo 2
This small tablet or large phone combines two screens and has a larger screen compared to its predecessor (5.8 inches single or 8.3 inch double), better (4449 mAh) battery and camera and now has 5G. When closed, notifications are shown on the back.

Accessories
The new surface range also comes with three new accessories. First, the Surface Slim Pen 2 has better interaction feedback.

Microsoft emphasizes in the margins of its launch that everything is ready for Windows 11. However, that is quite obvious since the operating system will appear simultaneously as the devices are on the shelves.
