Mexican President Back on His Feet After Corona Infection
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has recovered from Covid-19.
Two weeks after he reported having tested positive for the coronavirus and went into isolation, he gave another press conference.
“We are back on our feet and fighting,” said the 67-year-old head of state, without a mask as usual. The left-populist president is struggling with heart complaints and high blood pressure.
Obrador is widely criticized for his approach to the corona crisis.
In Mexico, more than 166,000 people died from the effects of the virus; 1.9 million inhabitants were infected.
