Humza Yousaf Succeeds Nicola Sturgeon as Prime Minister of Scotland

The Scottish Health Minister, Humza Yousaf, has been chosen by the ruling SNP party to succeed Nicola Sturgeon.

As a result, Yousaf becomes the new party leader and the new Prime Minister of Scotland.

The members of the party elected 37-year-old Yousaf as the new party leader. The minister thus defeated the other candidates’ Kate Forbes and Ash Regan.
