“Highly educated Dutch prefer to Work at KLM, Google and ING.” KLM is the favourite employer of highly skilled employees in the Netherlands.
Rabobank was still in first place in 2018, but this year the bank fell to the eleventh position, according to an annual survey by online career platform Intermediair.
The platform interviewed nearly four thousand people with a higher professional education up to the age of 45 about the labour market image of organisations.
KLM did not go further than seventh place last year.
Google and ING are in second and third position.
Shell is number four, while the Dutch Railways have risen considerably: from place 23 to place five.
The police, mental health services and tax authorities score best among non-profit organisations.
They are in positions seven, nine and thirteen, respectively.
Women are less afraid than men of losing a job
Furthermore, the Intermediair study shows that for the first time, women are less frightened than men of losing their job.
Moreover, they are more positive about the future of the labour market.
Six out of ten highly educated people currently rate the labour market as very favourable.
Only 8 percent are negative.
For the coming year, 28 percent expect the labour market to become even more favourable.
That was 44 percent last year and even half in 2017.
