Death Toll in Miami Apartment Collapse Continues to Rising

The death toll from the collapse of an apartment building near Miami, Florida, rises steadily.

With the discovery of 14 bodies under the rubble, the total number of victims has risen to 78, authorities report. Another 62 people are considered missing.

The recovery of the remains was accelerated after the search for survivors among the rubble was officially ended two weeks after the disaster.

It is still unclear what caused much of the apartment complex to collapse. However, three years ago, there had already been a warning about structural problems at the property on the coast.
