Death Toll from Coronavirus in Italy Rises from 107 to 148

The death toll due to the coronavirus in Italy increased on Thursday from 107 to 148. The number of confirmed infections risen from 3089 to 3858.

 

The Italian authorities announced this on Thursday.

The civil protection head officer said that of those infected initially, 414 had been fully recovered, compared with 276 a day earlier.

The virus appeared in Italy two weeks ago, especially in the northern provinces of Lombardy and Veneto.

However, cases have now been deep-rooted in each of the country’s twenty regions.
